Den britiske offiseren Jay Turner, som bor på Hundvåg, skal løpe 160 kilometer på 24 timer. - Jeg skal fullføre, sier 41-åringen.

The Brandenburg Gate Is Closed
One of Berlin's, and indeed one of Europe's, most famous and moving landmarks, the Brandenburg Gate stood inside the No Man's Land between the outer Wall and the inner Wall, making it inaccessible to East and West alike. In 1963, when President John F. Kennedy visited the Gate, East Germany hung huge red banners across it so he couldn't look into East Berlin.

Wall Peeping
Sightseers climb onto a bus to look at the newly built Berlin Wall. Another official reason East Berlin gave for building the Wall was that West Berliners were supposedly emptying East German stores of state-supplied goods. Again, no one in the West, and hardly anyone in the East, could take that explanation seriously.
